Use aluminum tape to hold broken plastic parts together while you do your plastic welding. This tape is heavy and thick (6 mm), and it needs to be. When you are repairing a crack in plastic, you need to have it lined-up. This aluminum tape will resist the bending forces that could cause misalignment.
